Position Title: Parent Ambassador

Location: 524 15th Street, Moline, IL 61265

Stipend: $2,000 per fiscal year (July 1st – June 30th)

Requirements: 35 hours per quarter. May require daytime, evening, and weekend hours

About EveryChild: EveryChild, formerly known as the Child Abuse Council, is a bi-state, regional nonprofit agency that provides child abuse prevention, education, and treatment programs for children and families. EveryChild leads community efforts to eliminate child abuse and neglect by strengthening children and families through treatment, education and prevention.

About AOK Network: All Our Kids Early Childhood Networks are community-based collaborations that promote healthy pregnancies and the positive growth and development of all children birth to five and their parents/caregivers by assuring a well-coordinated, easily-accessible, equitable and just system of services and supports that engages parents as partners in making the system work for them.

About the Parent Ambassador Role: The role of the Parent Ambassador is to provide a representative as part of the birth to five family community to help advocate for the children and families in Rock Island County.

Responsibilities:

• Attend 50% of Network meetings monthly (in person preferred)

• Attend 75% of quarterly Workgroup meetings (in person or virtual)

• Attend all check-ins with supervisor (twice monthly: 1:1 and group)

• Share all events and materials posted by either Rock Island AOK or EveryChild if on social media

• Attend 50% of AOK sponsored events

Requirements:

• Must currently be pregnant or have children in the 0-5 range

• Must have the ability to travel to events and meetings

• Must be available for Network meetings monthly (in person preferred)

• Must be available for Workgroup meetings quarterly (in person or virtual)

• Must be available for check-ins twice monthly with supervisor (1:1 and group)

• Must live in Rock Island County
